AN INTERDISCIPLINARY SYMPOSIUM ON SINGAPORE ARTS AND CULTURE

Bringing together artists, writers, and scholars, this symposium will initiate a critical conversation about the arts and literature of Singapore in relation to her role in global networks of cultural production and exchange. To facilitate this conversation, a panel of scholars will examine the literature, film, and media of Singapore through the lens of cultural and critical theory, and a panel of Singaporean practitioners will discuss how their art showcases Singapore on the global stage while connecting with the community back home. Following the panel discussions is a workshop to demonstrate how art can serve the community and a reception serving Singaporean fare.

A reception will be held at 6pm between the Symposium and the Literary Arts event.
